60 wines on tap

Wine on tap? Sayless. I have just recently gotten into how fun wine can be with a recent event that I have attended. Pairing wines with certain foods can be so much fun. The wine, the cheese, the meats. I LOVE.

ABOUT SIXTY VINES:

Established in 1997, Sixty Vines helps provide an inspiring experience in being in California Wine Country. With their eye-catching open kitchen that accommodates their wood-burning grill for their Artisan pizzas, Sixty Vines provides a great atmosphere. They are also known for their wine wall that features 60 different wines on tap!

Aside from the wine, the food at Sixty Vines is part of the whole experience. According to their website, “Our menus are inspired by the seasonal cuisine of the wine country, made with local ingredients, and brought to you fresh from our open kitchen. You can watch, hear, and smell your meal being prepared before it even reaches your table. Ingredients are thoughtfully sourced, uniquely prepared, and change with the season depending on the products available from local farmers and small growers. We choose flavors that complement the wine.”

Of course, what is a better pairing with wine with delicious food such as bread and cheese? Oh, wait, just combine both of those ingredients to make PIZZA!

MY EXPERIENCE:

Making a reservation is quick and easy when it comes to dining at Sixty Vines. Depending on what kind of party you are trying to host. There are different rooms that you can choose to sit in. Some rooms will also accommodate up to 70 guests for your private party.

When my party came here, we only had a party of 10 so it was easier. Due to COVID-19, table seatings are a little different however, Sixty Vines makes it work! We ended up ordering two different things for the starters. One being the Salumi and Cheeseboard. This included selection of artisan cured meats, and cheeses, seasonal accouterment. The assortment was very satisfying because I paired it with a white wine from Germany, Dr. Loosen Riesling

Aside from the Salumi and Cheeseboard, we ordered the Spicy Sausage Pizza for the table. When I tell you, the Spicy Sausage Pizza is literally a favorite of mine at Sixty Vines, it is! The Spicy Sausage Pizza includes tomato sauce, house-ground sausage, mozzarella, provolone, pickled Fresno peppers, fennel, and basil. The sausage is literally my favorite part of the pizza. You can taste the spices that make your tastebuds pop!

For my main meal, I’m not going to lie, I copied my Husband. He loves the Spicy Sausage Pizza so much he wanted it to himself. However, we both wanted to try something different. We ended up getting one pizza that had two different styles. The Spicy Sausage Pizza of course, however, we also paired it with The Butcher Pizza. This pizza included San Marzano tomato sauce, soppressata, capicola, calabrese, provolone, and mozzarella. The capicola was the best part of that pizza. I could eat that by itself but having it as a combination of the whole pizza was amazing.

I definitely recommend Sixty Vines for a date night or just a fun time to celebrate. Who doesn’t love wine and pizza?
