Ground Turkey (or protein of choice)
My Seasonings
Olive oil
Black Pepper
Onion Powder
Chili Powder
Cumin
Avocado, sliced or mashed (or guac)
Mike’s Hot Honey
Cottage cheese (I used low-fat)
Instructions:
Roast the Sweet Potato: Preheat the oven to 400°F, or you can use your air fryer. Make sure that your sweet potatoes are diced. Toss with olive oil, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and a dash of cinnamon. Roast for 20-25 minutes until tender.
Cook the Protein: While the sweet potatoes are cooking, heat a pan over medium heat.
Cook the ground turkey, breaking it apart as it browns, and season with pepper, garlic powder, or any of your favorite spices. I did not use the taco seasoning packets, so I added chili powder and cumin.
Cook until fully browned and no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
Assemble the Bowl
Add the roasted sweet potato to a bowl.
Add the cooked ground turkey (or protein of choice).
Add sliced avocado and a scoop of cottage cheese.
Drizzle Mike’s Hot Honey over everything for the perfect sweet and spicy kick.
