The Perfect Mediterranean Bowl Recipe
Craving a taste of the Mediterranean? These vibrant bowls are all the rage for a reason: they're bursting with fresh flavors, healthy fats, and endless customization options. This recipe provides a basic framework, but feel free to get creative and build a bowl that reflects your personal preferences.
Ingredients:
Chicken
Spices for Chicken:
Dried Oregano
Smoked Paprika
Ground Cumin
Ground Coriander
Rice
Lettuce / Spinach (Optional, Cava Doupe)
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Red Onion
Crumbled Feta Cheese
Kalamata Olives
Tzatziki Sauce (my high-protein recipe)
Pita Bread
Instructions:
Cook your protein of choice: This bowl calls for Chicken, but use what you want with the seasoning list
Assemble the Bowl: Divide the cooked rice, lettuce, and/or spinach into bowls. Top with the diced tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, crumbled feta cheese, Kalamata olives, and chicken.
Dress it Up: Drizzle your favorite sauce, such as a high-protein Tzatziki Sauce (check out my recipe) or hummus.
Fresh Finish (Optional): Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor.
Enhance the Experience: Add pita bread to accompany the flavors.
